“It’s An Emotional Day, Even The Cake Is In Tiers”

Apologies for abandoning all you fellas for the last few weeks (…errr..months.) Friends & family and work took over my life.. I knowww, I need to get my priorities right! But I hope you missed me as much as I did. Speaking of friends and family, over the last few months ’twas fun seeing some of my friends getting hitched in the most beautiful and romantic settings.. under the cherry blossoms at the Brooklyn botanical garden, by the bay in Bar Harbor Maine. #MushAlert. I’ve also realized that I lurv attending weddings, the joyousness of the occasion, being a part of the most wonderful moments of two people’s lives,  hearing them profess their love for each other until death do them apart, meeting the families (yeah, that’s my thing too). Added perks with destination weddings à la Maine, getting to travel to new places and gorging on lob-stah. Two thumbs up!

Needless to say, the big dilemma was what to wear as the “wedding guest”. It’s tough enough to decide the attire when the invite is the customary “black tie” or “Beach formal” or “Dressy Casual”, but when the couple throws curveballs like “Maine Formal” you pause & put on your thinking hat. Since we last connected, mercury has done some serious rising which also meant it was time to bring out the lace, floral and pastel dresses for the summer weddings.

Here’s how I tackled the “Maine Formals” challenge 😉

PS: For all you bridesmaids enthusiasts out there, did you hear about the bride who is auctioning off her bridesmaids, including maid of honour spots on the internet. Going 1, going 2… #MaidOrWhat
